The Congo Tetra is a beautiful freshwater fish that is fairly easy to care for.
Tank Size: Congo Tetras are a schooling fish and require at minimum a group of 6 to feel comfortable. Minimum 100L tank for a small school of Congo Tetras. For a larger school and community tanks, upsizing is necessary.
Mature Size: up to 7.5cm
General Temperament: Peaceful, sometimes skittish if other fish are showing signs of aggression
Tank Mates: Other Tetra varieties, Corydoras, Mollies, Platies, Swordtails, etc.
Ideal Temperature: 22 – 27°C
pH: 6.0 – 7.5
